Austrian designer Rainer Mutsch has created a modular outdoor furniture collection called Dune for the Austrian concrete products manufacturer Eternit.
Her is som description from Rainer Mutsch: For me Dune was a very demanding project, because it depended on so many parameters: ergonomics, durability, capability of mass production, release properties, statics, modularity, and eco friendliness, to mention only a few.
Each person has his quirks, and this applies to all spheres of dining. Some people prefer to sit at the dinner table in a lotus position and other can not collect their staff in the evening, but does so in the morning. And for every habit designers help us find things that make life easier. [...]
The passion for art and nature is a leading for the artists Fletcher and Myburgh. By drawing inspiration from the terrains in which they both grew up, South Africa and Surrey… rolling hills and curving lanes, heat and sunshine, the passion for form is evident.
