Maybe there is no one girl, who doesn’t know who Candace Bushnel is. She is the best-selling author of Sex and the City. Recently a team of Elle Decor visited her apartment in New York and published the photos right before the premiere of the second movie. Candace and her husband Charles Askegard, live in a building, built in 1920 with the atmosphere of those years – high ceilings, large fireplaces, small balconies with large windows.
The apartment was bought in 2008 and restored to nearly its original appearance. The atmosphere is very retro, with discrete details in Art Deco style, French Revolution and similar retro references.
The home creates a unique feeling of serenity. One of the most interesting accents in it is a vintage screen covered with mirrors that reflect light from the window and then carried throughout the room.
